EVE Energy's Dr. David He was invited to give a theme speech at the Gao Gong Lithium Industry Summit

Recently, the 15th Gao Gong Lithium Industry Summit 2022 was held in Changzhou with the theme of "Synergizing Upstream and Downstream, Building a New Ecology". The leaders from power battery, material and equipment industries gathered to discuss the development trend of the industry. Dr. David He, President of EVE Power Battery Research Institute, was invited to deliver a speech on "Power Battery Technology Development and Large Cylindrical Cell Iteration Logic".

Dr. David He introduced that the current power battery market is booming and showing a parallel situation of multiple technology lines. He believes that the technological innovation of power batteries includes two aspects of chemical system innovation and structural innovation, which need cooperation to support the forward development of the power battery. And the complete technology roadmap covers three dimensions, function technology route, quality assurance technology route and cost technology route.

Dr. David He said that the power battery technology is constantly evolving with the functional aspect changing from cell-specific energy to system-specific energy development, and the charging time shortening from 60 minutes to 10 minutes; the warranty aspect changing from cycle life to warranty life, extending from 5 years to 10 years; the cost aspect changing from low cost to target cost, and from procurement strategy to supply chain channel strategy.
Based on the absolute economic and safety advantages, EVE 46 diameters type large cylindrical battery perfectly balances the chemical system innovation and structural innovation, which is the most ideal solution in the technical route of medium and high-end new energy vehicles.

In the subsequent roundtable dialogue, Dr. Wei He analyzed and deduced the "new material application under the new round of battery innovation", and believed that 46 large cylindrical batteries would develop in the direction of high nickel and silicon, and can avoid the problem of low group efficiency due to the bigger and bigger batteries.
