On the 19th of September, the 2nd New Energy Vehicle Industry Summit was held in Huizhou, Guangdong province. Dr. Yuhong Xu, Director of EVE Power Battery System Research Institute, was invited to deliver a speech entitled “Progress of EVE Energy battery system research.”
Dr. Xu Yuhong introduced that for new energy vehicle users, there are still pain points that need to be solved, such as high purchase cost, short range, long charging time, low-temperature dropout, battery safety and other issues.
Dr. Xu Yuhong said, to solve the pain point problems, EVE has been iterating on the battery system research. Based on system structure innovation, the composite use of single-sided and double-sided cooling provides efficient heat exchange to the battery cells, which helps to improve the fast charging thermal management and supports 4C+ high rate fast charging. Combined with the advanced thermal management strategy, from structural design, new material development, manufacturing process and other aspects of control, to achieve the whole series of battery system products "NTP" (No Thermal Spread No Fire) to ensure the high reliability and safety of the battery.
EVE insists on user-centered and develops comprehensive solutions for battery systems for various scenarios. Combining the characteristics of prismatic LFP batteries and large cylindrical cells, we have created a complete product solution from 12V, 48V, HEV, PHEV to BEV battery system, and the whole series of battery system products have achieved NTP, to escort for safe travel.
In the future, EVE will create more competitive battery systems, continue to deepen the battery system applications, actively research and explore the battery system to serve the next generation of intelligent vehicles, and speed up the upgrading of global traditional vehicles electrification.
